What is the Wescom Skateboard Society?

 

We are an officially incorporated Society in B.C. We have a board of Directors as well as a dedicated group of members.

 

The purpose of Wescom Skateboard Society as outlined in the constitution and bylaws are;

 

• To assist the West Shore Municipal Councils and Recreation Departments to monitor and develop skateboarding related activities, facilities and events.
• To act as an entity that is accessible to all skateboarders, promoting unity throughout the West Shore's diverse skateboard scene and taking a proactive role in creating and maintaining a positive, safe, fun, environment, that all of the West Shore's skateboarders can enjoy.

 

What Does All That Mean?

 

It means you will see W*S*S in the community raising funds and awareness for the skateboarding community. All funds raised will be used to provide events, demonstrations, and lessons as well as assisting the community in maintaining local skate parks and the positive image/benefits of skateboarding and skateboarders in the West Shore .
